All Saints and All Souls Day

All Saints Day is November 1st and a Holy Day of Obligation. This day is dedicated to the Saints of the Church-those who are formally canonized and those who have lived a holy life now in heaven. All Saints Day was formally started by Pope Boniface IV, who consecrated the Pantheon at Rome to the  Virgin Mary and all the Martyrs in 609 AD.

The Saints give us an example of how ordinary people could do extraordinary work in the name of Jesus Christ and God our Father. We turn to the Saints to pray for us and to intercede on our behalf.

Come celebrate All Saints day Wednesday November 1, 2017  at 8:30 a.m. and 7:00p.m. Bring your favorite statue of a Saint for a special blessing. We will have a 7:30 p.m. mass in Vietnamese in the Gathering Hall. The following day November 2, 2017 we will celebrate All Souls Day at 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. You may bring a small photo (no larger than 5X7) of your loved one to place on our Altar of Remembrance.
