Simbang Gabi Mass Schedule

Simbang Gabi is a nine-day novena to the Blessed Mother that starts nine days before Christmas . Traditionally, daily Masses begin as early as 4:00 a.m. in the morning, and culminates with the “Misa de Gallo” on Christmas Eve, welcoming the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Simbang Gabi provides a strong indication of the depth of Catholicism in the hearts of Filipinos, which they eagerly share with the whole community. As you will notice during this time, there are colorfully, adorned stars throughout the Chapel/Gathering Hall. These ornamental, star-shaped lanterns are called paróls, an iconic Christmas symbol in the Philippines. Derived from the Spanish word, farol, which means “lantern”, paról evokes the Star of Bethlehem that guided the Three Kings to the manger. The paról also retains its original association with the Simbang Gabi ritual.
